Gyldenholt, founded by Duke Armand and Duchess Diana de Savigny in 1979, is one of twelve baronies currently in existence within the Kingdom of Caid in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Our current Baron and Baroness are Their Excellencies Ursul Vladislavl' Pravnuk and Collette de Montpellier, pictured at left. The Barony is located in the mundane lands of Orange County, California with the Barony of the Angels, and the Barony of Lyondemere to our north, the Barony of Calafia to the south, the Barony of Dreiburgen to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
We are pleased to say that the Barony is quite active, both on a Baronial and Kingdom level. We have many activities in various areas of Medieval and Renaissance studies. You will find a list of the numeroous guilds and groups listed on the appropriate page. If you are new to the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) and/or you would like more information about our group and the SCA in general, please feel free to explore the site. Also of note are the many forums and discussion groups which the Barony has to offer.
Recipients of Gyldenholt's Foret d'Or Award, also known as the Baronial Service Award, can be found HERE. This award is given by Their Excellencies to those whom the populace has recommended. The occasion of the giving is usually Gyldenholt Anniversary. Click the following link if you would like to post a recommendation to Their Excellencies.
